Thanks in advance

I am sure that was probably the first thing he checked, but maybe he doesn't know exactly what he is doing with this particular car.

-) sometimes (90%) times when the car is started, it takes long time startup(1-2 sec) and then engine might run, as soon as the accelerator is release engine also stops.

-) doesn't matter whether the car is still or car is moving.
-) without pressing the accelerator engine cannot be started.

The mechanic says he has tried everything but do not know what is the exact problem.

Please help

starting to think it might be injector or something... @ this stage I'm totally clueless to be honest. Not sure where to start.
I'm very disappointed cos its a 2008 model and only has 60,000 kilometers on the clock.

So I replaced the leads (all 3) and it was fine since then...but the misfiring started again this morn :(
No, then engine light doesn't come on... same symptoms as before. Starts fine but stutters/misfires when driving.

Taking it to the mach again today... if its the leads again, then I'll be seriously disappointed. Last time round i had to buy All 3 leads and it was quite costly.

FYI: I had the car services and it had new spark plugs..... will check it again though.

and how did you connect the switch? One to the chassis, one to the 12v wire and one to the led lamp?

You might be able to replace a single wire.

The easy way to check if the wire is causing the problem is to start the car at night and watch to see which wire is arcing electricity. If you cant see it you might be able to hear it. It should sound like consistent snapping.

The temporary fix is to wrap a lot of electrical tape around lead that is arcing, but you will need to replace that wire if that is the source of your problem.

I'm not sure if the spark has coil packs or not. If one of those fails that can cause trouble.
I assume you already replaced/checked the spark plugs?
